Question NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 installation problems on Mepis

Hey guys. I am running linux Mepis and i am trying to install the latest driver for my GeForce FX 5200. The only thing is though, when it starts to compile the kernel in the install, it turns up with an error. So i check the log to dsee what has happened, and it metions something about a Rivafb conflict. I have seen this before and i have no idea how i got past it before but now i am getting reaaaalllllllllllllyyyyyy frustrated. its a wonder i havent chucked my computer through the windw.

Thanks for listening. lol.... sorry, i feel like a complete retard
