Ok, I have a sata drive with a windows partition and a linux partition that were made with partition magic 8, windows installed fine and everything but now when i try to install Suse 9.2 64 it doesnt detect any hard drives.
When i click on partitions in Yast it says "No disks found, please use the update cd for installation." The windows partition on the drive is NTFS and there is another partition for linux that is EXT3. System: Msi k8n neo2 plat AMD 64 3000+ Seagate 120 GB Sata Seagate 200 GB Sata |

SuSE 9.2 failed to see any of my three SiiG SATA controllers. It may be that SuSE has no default SATA drivers and one woudl need to aadd that to the installer. YMMV.

If you do a manual install you can select what modules to load, the sata modules are there.
