Default skystar2 makes system freeze

When loading the dvb-Modul skystar2, my system freezes when running the nvidia-driver 7174. The only thing I can do is a hardware-reboot.

With the xorg-driver "nv" everything seems to work fine.

I'm using KDE 3.4 and kernel 2.6.11.7.

I hope this is no double-posting, because I'm new here, but I couldn't find something with the search function here or google.
