Exclamation ****e Performance of GF6800

According to a cedega developer, there is apparently a driver bug in the nvidia linux drivers, with the effect that the "time required to switch targets when rendering to pbuffer" (blah, whatever that means) is several orders of magnitude higher on a GF6800 than than on a 5700, which destroys a great deal of of FPS in many situations (e.g. dynamic lighting causes heaps of such switches)

All I know for sure is that the card so far vastly underperforms for my expectations (my FPS in HL2 suck donkey) Anyone else unhappy with the GF6800's performance? Potentially other GF6 are affected.

Just saying it to put some pressure on nvidia to fix this.
:Edit: some more self-censoring

I wouldnt blame nvidia, cedega also blames the fact that its nvidia's fault due to FSAA not working in source based titles. Often I think those cedega developers have no idea what they are talking about and are very quick to blame others but themselves.

Actually, FSAA in source works like a charm for me, if I disable pixel shaders. Framerate doesn't even decrease in 16xAA because the GF6800 is such a MONSTER in terms of drawing pixels

Ehh, really? When I use FSAA >4 in UT2004, I get 10FPS or lower
