Yep, looks like for nvidia it is not enough paying more than 400
for a video card to have up-to-date linux drivers, you have to buy
an NVWorkstation...
I think that as soon as there will be a serius competitor releasing
good and up-to-date (if not opensource) linux drivers i will
immediatly switch off from nvidia...

Let's make an agreement. Anybody who gets a non-public driver will release it via TuxWarez, agree ?

sounds extremely illegal: https://nvdeveloper.nvidia.com/terms...?stid=&siteid=
i wouldn't suggest anyone who values their priviledges to "leak" any non-public drivers or software/documentation for that matter..

It is illegal, but BitTorrent seems to be the only way how to distribute the data w/o being arrested

Is it such a big problem to release the beta drivers (for nVidia)? Aren't we (nVidia's customers) worth it?

Come on people, how about doing all the non-topic in the other thread?
About beta drivers, this is only a recent development in the windows world and as far as I have seen it's rarely updated anyway. There are also certain drivers for windows that doesn't get publically released, but might get released through OEM's.

If the original poster haven't given up on this thread I would like to re-state my suggestion :
Have you tried with another windows manager?

I tried mwm (I use it as a fall back.)
Didn't change anything.

Cheers,
