Yeah I think an older Matrox I had did have an external RAMDAC but the secondary VGA did not. Not sure. At any rate, I follow what you're saying above just fine and will incorporate this into my review. Thanks for the request.

Hkepc has a Galaxy 6800 with a NV42 GPU, hmmmmm.......

Wonder whats the luck of the draw to get the cards with the 110nm GPUs.....

Hmmmm, 256MB on that NV42.....

Hmm, that is interesting. I'll pull one of the HSFs off a card sometime next week to find out for sure.

Clay, just use Rivatuner and you can see exactly what core it's using, no need to remove the heatsink.

Yeah I know but I'll be replacing with waterblocks after the review is finished anyway so one extra removal is no big deal. I like to post a pic of the core anyway for the sticklers out there.

UPDATE: After some delays with motherboards I'm back into the swing of this review. I can now confirm that this is the NV42 (and not the NV41 as I first thought). So, it is 110nm process instead of 130nm but everything else is the same with only 12 pipes (no possibility of unlocking four other pipes since they don't exist). I have more details in this thread.
