driver "works", but images are corrupt
this is weird. I just updated my fedora core 4 system, which among other things
caused the following xorg packages to be installed:

Jul 29 14:00:40 Updated: xorg-x11-Mesa-libGL.i386 6.8.2-37

after re-installing the 7667 driver and rebooting, everything ran ok. Then, in
the middle of quaking, for about 5-10 seconds the system hung, (no video
update, sound in loop), which often has meant in the past that the system was
totally hung. However it came back shortly, except that from then on the video
was always corrupt. See attached screenshot to get an idea of what I mean.
You can see the yellow outline of the teleport through the corner of the wall.
I haven't tried re-booting, but that would presumably only be a temporary fix anyhow.
I also haven't tried 7676, but from the CHANGES I didn't get the impression that
that would be very fruitful.
This weird corruption, by the way, is exactly what I saw after re-installing the
nvidia driver and re-starting X without rebooting. After the boot it was gone, however.
