Default Quick Question: restarting edits my XF86Config-4

Hi. I hope someone can help me with this small but annoying quesiton I've had.

I have been manually editting my XF86Config file each time I restart my computer. I know that sometime after X has completed closing and before I log in again, after a restart, the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file has been changed. The import glx line has been commented out with a '#' and the -driver "nvidia"- is changed to -driver "nv"-.

I'm pretty sure a startup script is changing to these default settings but I've not been able to find where or how to stop it. Does anyone know where such a script is.

I'm using Mandrake Linux 10.0
