They've revamped all of the epic encounters already. Vison of Vox is practically unkillable. Lvl 57 with a 4.5k+ dmg AoE. The tower in Commonlands was revamped (forgot name :X) with the epic lvl 54, my guild (No Debt on Crushbone, one of the top guilds) tried it and we got beat 3 times in a row. The guy spams for 2.5k + he has loike 8 lvl 52's with him just stomped the **** out of the rest of the crew.

Thats good to hear. Right now Sony is serious about revamping the combat system. Honestly the idea of how you grow with skills with the old combat system. It would seem I am already a bit unpopular on the EQ 2 forums because I am "For" The changes. Alot of people cant handle change and dont like that there fisher price strategies wont work anymore.

Its ridiculous though. Troubadors can boost their own avoidance to 80% and Guardians to over a 100%. I dont even see how this can be considered "Fun". But it shows how some people can get adapted to something and dont want to lose what they have.

I think the revamps are very good. I think Sony is going in the right direction. I know first few weeks many people are oging ot pisst off like usual...but when you look at overall picture in the long run it will be much better for EQ2

Take for example tradeskills...the system was bothced from the start, though I enjoyed it. When they made all those changes I was unahppy at first but after a few days I realized it was better for community.


Lets face it, EQ2 was not truly ready at release. But what MMORPG ever is? I thin kmain difference is Sony is not afraid to make those changes to fixx it instead ofjust lieing and waiting for everything to come crashing down.



IMO only reason EQ1 is still active today is not becuase of Verant, but because of Sony fixing many of the issues left behind.

WoW was as close to ready as I have seen a MMORPG to be honest. It was very very good on release. Even in beta it was ahead of EQ2 on release. Sony/Verant have had tendecies in the past to rush content out. Sometimes I like this aproach as we get content faster, Sometimes I dont.

Tehcnically they were far from ready. For months after release there weer major problems. Now they finally much better..but still I am tlaking about ready really ready.

One of the best games at launch that I can recall would have to be COH...but look how shallow that is and after 1 month bored as anything.
