Default Something wrong with my WMP? Or my IE Browser?

Sup everyone.
I was hoping someone could help me.
Everytime I click a link that links up to opening my windows media player, it always say it cant display the page and then I have to paste the link into the open url option into my WMP. How do I get it to open the player automatically? It seems like it just started recently..any suggestions guys?

Have you installed quicktime by any chance? Anyways, have you gone into the options in WMP and checked that the file types are selected?
