I liked the co-op mode the first couple of times I played it but then got tired of it. It completely changes the way the game is supposed to be played. Part of it was that I got bored being the flashlight guy. My friend hadn't played it so I was trying to let him discover everything but that ended up being boring for me. Then we tried playing without having a flashlight guy but having two people in the same area still kind of messes up the immersion factor. The game was definitely designed to be played alone and in the dark.
