FC4-64 - 76.76 include last NVidia Patch - GLX work only one time! (fixed)
Ifinally find the solution to use 64bits nvidia driver 76.76 with my fedora core 4 64Bits.
The solution was to apply this patch
Now X/Gnome start fine
However, I have another problem, I can launch only one time an OpenGL application, after that system freeze...
launch glxgears => OK,work, give stats => quit => system freeze/hang
launch nvidia-settings => OK, see all the options aso => quit => system freeze/hang
launch World of Warcraft (cedega) => OK, can play very well => quit => system freeze/hang
I have noticed to that if I do CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE to reload X the system fail to...
I'm not really stopped since I just play WoW but it's not really funny to reboot the computer each time I quit a GLX appz!
Hope NVidia Guru will find a patch for this patch
PS: On the same computer, no problem on 32Bit system (FC4 with same Kernel, aso and driver 76.76)

Re: Fedora Core 4 64Bits - 76.76 OpenGL work only one time! (fixed)
finally found the solution.
On my Motherboard ASUS P5P800 Bios 1011 I have made these settings:
* Go To Bios
* Advanced/CPU Configuration
* Execute Disable Function [Enabled]
"No-Execution Page Protection Technology - Disable to force the XD feature flag to always return 0"
I use ASUS motheboard P5P800 with Intel P4/3Ghz (EMT64) with Fedora Core 4 64Bits SMP (188.8.131.528) with patched NVidia driver 76.76 and with the XD Bios feature disabled all works fine!!!
