Default SLI on any Distro

Is there any distro out there or drivers for that matter that will support SLI on Linux? I recently upgraded $2700 worth of stuff and want to use SLI in Linux with my two 6800 Ultras.

If there isn't, is there any word on when this might be supported?

Thanks,

At the moment SLI isn't supported, the upcoming 1.0-8xxx drivers will contain support.

Hardware support is in the Linux kernel, not the distribution. Some distributors add patches and fixes to some of the drivers, but that's about it.

To the point, as mentioned the 1.0-8xxx drivers will support SLI, and I believe they're due any day now...

Sure would be nice if the 8xxx drivers come out...I'm pretty dissapointed that I can't use both my cards I bought. I'm about to say screw it and give one to my wife for her computer.

Any idea on a real release date for the 8xxx drivers?

You should have checked for Linux support before buying the cards if it was that important for you SLI works fine in Windows, and there's no game in Linux that would benefit from SLI in any case.

To the point, there hasn't been a release for a while now, and the next one is really gonna be 1.0-8xxx. Somebody talked about a strategical release right before ATi'x X1K series of cards which is in a couple of days I believe.
