Default linux-driver for nvidia-modem-chipsets???

Hi, i have read on the download-site of nvidia that the linux-driver-packages do not support win modems with nvidia chipsets (f.e. the modem i have: Agere-Systems AC'97 in a hp/compaq nx9105 notebook). Why not? I know from a many linux-forums around the world that people would be glad to have such support!!! Any one an info if such support can be expected in the near future? I mean it would be just fair and great customer-service to provide drivers for all (!) nvidia-products, right?

Are you asking a question about the modem of your laptop? If so it is not nvidia's task to provide drivers for that modem as nvidia only ships mobile GPUs and not mobile motherboard chipsets.
