Hi, I have a 6800GT and am trying to get ACPI working on my system, specifically standby. Unfortunatly, the only power state that works well with my system is standby, and this does not shut down the fan on my card. Is there any way to get the fan to shut down without turning off my computer (and restart when I come back from standby)? I'm using Gentoo linux.

Nvclock can control the fanspeed but it is at your own risk ..

you cloud try to use suspend-to-ram. check the gentoo forum/wiki for how to do that. i also want to get it working with my 6800LE but i cannot manage it, to awake after the suspend-to-ram, which means the pc is up and reakting to my keybord commands, but the graficcard doesnt awake.
i will post my experiences in a new thread -ribx |
