-edit- I see the bush cropping you are pointing out. Have to toggle between them several times to see it. Quote:
I pointed out simply that after the first post in this thread, the next few comments were based w/o facts and were simply attacking either valve or ati. I posted default shots and there is no difference in quality and subsequenctly others posted the same thing. The links you posted also don't show a difference in quality that the reputed reviewers brought up. As can clearly be seen from my screenshots, in HL2, distance from objects does lead to some items not being rendered (detail dist or draw dist or whatever it is) so I am going to try and take a couple of shots in the same position as you and see why there is a discrepency. ![]() |

Looking at the pictures from the reviews, it seems it has to do with quality. It is all seemingly at 1200 because its not just bushes and things like that.
In the digit life shots, look at the roofs. There are antennaes and other things which show to be fainter than in the 7800gtx. Now yes, the AA is a little better but you are correct in that the shots seem to be off with some of the items. On the flip side the current cat's seem to be rendering everything perfectly so this is pointing to the beta cat's. Seems that they have an issue. Your shots that you included for the x850 don't match what I see so I don't understand what that is all about. |
