Default BSOD problem in some games - what is this?

.

So, when i play BF2 and Tribes:Vengeance for extended periods, i get a big sieze up, and then it crashes out of the game and windows, and i get a blue screen that says:

(bunch of numbers)
kernel stack inpage error

and then the computer reboots.

what is a kernel stack error?

i have two hard drives and two optical drives on my system.
my comp doesn't do this on any other games i have, including UT2005, Doom3, RavenShield or Quake3.
