Default Could not load installer for display

Dell 4550
Windows XP
P4, 200MHZ, 256mb

Just purchased GeForce 6600 and received the following error when trying to load the drivers: "Windows could not load the installer for Display"

When I run Everest to see what is on computer the 6600 along with the Dirct X components shows up - but something is missing to complete the instal. Any ideas? I am currently running with essentially no video card because every time I scroll it takes forever to move the page.

You can prob tell Im a computer rookie - need help.

Default Re: Could not load installer for display

Did you use DRIVER CLEANER to help remove any remaining old video cards driver before installing the 6600 card?
