Here is the basic way of modifying them:

If you get nhancer (www.nhancer.com), it'll let you enter the values directly. Lately, I've just been editing the nvapps file directly though. A lot of times, if the game isn't running well with the standard options (AFR, AFR2, SFR), you can look at the SLI values being used by other games and try those values. More times than not, you'll find one that works pretty well.

Edit: Also, when you see a value that isn't 1, 2, etc. it usually means the compatibility bits are set (you can see those in nhancer as well or with the optimizer app you referenced).

In fact AFR2 is AFR with compatability bits .. its not a standard mode , but the one you see in the control panel sets a standard value as a start (before 81.94 it was "2430001" , now its "2400001") .. then you modify it as you mentioned.

for example with 81.94 the value "2400001" gives best performance .. how did i know ? well NFS:MW uses the same engine used in NFSU2 (with some extra modifications of course) so typically i will go for the same SLI profile used for NFSU2 as a start. you can mess around more with the values , but i dont see a reason for that since that value seems to be the optimal one for this game.

By standard options, I just meant one of the options provided on the SLI menu. To choose those, you just select it from a menu. To set the compatability bits, you have to edit the file or use one of the other utilities.

Just saw my brother play it on Xbox..
the cutscenes must one of the gayest things in gaming history.. the lameness of it all.. had to skip them, there was just no other way..
