I was playing Jedi Knight II and when I came out of the game my CPU temp was frying a 50 degrees Cel. Should I be concerned, it normally runs at around 45 when not underload.
Thanks |

The theoretical limit for Athlon processors (I think its the Thoroughbred core they were discussing, IIRC) is 90 degrees C, which equals about 184 degrees F. A more reasonable limit is your load temp, 50 degrees C, which is about 130 degrees F.

Thanks, I was worried because I used to have a 750 duron which never even got up to the 45 degree mark. When I had it overclocked at 900 underload it would run between 43 and 44 degrees.
Thanks again. |

50c is fine, if it were idle @ 50c then i would worry.

Those 1.4's were the hottest running processors AMD put out, but your temps seem fine.

I have the same processor and when I'm playing a game the temperature is usually around 50 C. Normally mine is at about 43 or 44 C. You're okay!
