Default Newbie problem with Slackware + nvidia

I have just installed Slackware 10.2. I have a 64M Geforce 3 ti 200 gcard.

Last night I installed the latest unified drivers from Nvidia.

I made the config changes, Changed the driver from nv to nvidia. Load dri was already commented out with a # and there was no Load GLCore. Load GLX was already there aswell.

When I started X the nvidia splash flashed up and then went leaving me with either a blank screen or a screen with a random pattern of green rectangles on it.

Ctrl + Alt del to reboot, then viewed the Xorg log file. No errors. nvidia module loads but when it goes to run gls there is a fatal error code 11 i believe.

If i put the drivers back to nv it will load not with glx though.

Any help please
