Default GeForce2 GO on Dell Inspiron 8200/ HDTV / Twinview

I am trying to get HDTV (1080i) out on the external VGA port on my GeForce2 GO. Everything I read says it is possible, but I have been unsuccessful.

According to the NVidia 7676 drivers readme, on a laptop, the external vga port is considered display0, and the LCD display1, so I have twinview configured with modeline and etc settings to match my tv.

My xorg log says:

HorizSync 31.5 - 37.9

VertRefresh 59.9 - 60.1

It also says:

(--) NVIDIA(0): Interlaced video modes are not supported on this GPU
Is there a BIOS update I need or something? Even the old TNTs support interlaced according to their docs.

Thanks for any help,
