I'm going to assume that this is isolated to Adobe. Try reinstalling it, or switching over to FoxitPDF reader and loading a .pdf file. It doesn't sound like a video card problem to me.

I did try reinstalling adobe reader and that did not work.
I also tried reinstalling the whole system, and that did not work. I installed a geforce2 mx/400 and the problem went away. Is there any problem with the pny geforce3 ti 200? Its probably hardware failure but I figured I would ask people that are more knowledgeable with this type of hardware in case there was a setting to set in the driver so it would play nice with the card. At this time I suspect a hard ware failure. Dam time to upgrade again. |

If you had no problems with previous drivers I would say it's a problem with a combination of 81.85's + adobe + your geforce3. If you can go back to 78.05 or earlier with no problems you may not need to upgrade.

heh...I'm more willing to just straight up blame Adobe. They have some great programs, but my God, the bloat is unbelievable. Reader is probably the worst. It brings my system to a crawl every time I accidently click on a PDF link in FF.
Thank God for TargetAlert so that now the PDF icon shows up next to the link to warn me before I click on it. And there's another plugin that prompts you about how you want to open it (stand alone window, new tab, new FF window or cancel). |

Try some earlier drivers, see if that helps. It's been a long time since nVidia optimized any drivers for the GF3.

Its safe to assume the new drivers out help enhance the performance of newer video cards, so why use them on older hardware. I would suggest using v43.03 for up to GF4-ti video cards.
