Default twinview and dual X not working(CRT, TV)

I would like two different configs,
I want to run start an X on my tv and one on my CRT
I configged 2devices, 2 screens & 2 monitors in the xorg.conf

Then the X starts on the CRT but I got nothing on the TV, In the nvidia-settings program I have then 2 devices one with crt and one with TV as screen, but how do I get something on my tv? tryed this with starting 2 X servers by configging this in the gdm.conf, but then both servers start on my CRT screen.

any idea's?

since I failed to do the first I tryed it with Twinvieuw & Clone:
PHP Code:

#    Option         "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,TV"

Identifier "SimpleLayout"
Screen 0 "Screen0"
#Screen 1 "Screen1" leftOf "Screen0"
InputDevice "Generic Keyboard"
InputDevice "Configured Mouse"
when I do this config I get only something on my CRT (bug repport attached)
in the nvidia-settings there is only one screen

when I include the
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT,TV"
Option "MetaModes" "1024x768,1024x768"
Lines I only get an X on my TV, but then nvidia-settings does show the CRT and the TV screen I have that log also attached.

Thanks in Advance,
Jan Lenaerts

Default Re: twinview and dual X not working(CRT, TV)

Here's your problem:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): To enable TwinView, you must also specify:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Option "MetaModes" "<metamode list>"

You've commented out the Metamodes, which will prevent TwinView from working (as you noted).

When you have them specified, I see these problems:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): config file vrefresh range 50-160Hz not within DDC vrefresh ranges.
(II) NVIDIA(0): Not using default mode "1024x768" (hsync out of range)
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Unable to find mode "1024x768" for display device 0 in
(WW) NVIDIA(0): MetaMode "1024x768,1024x768"

I'd suggest upgrading to 1.0-8174 and then specifying separate Monitor sections for your CRT & TV with valid vertical and horz refresh rates.

If that fails to work, please generate and post a new bug report.
