This is more a Kubuntu question, I'm Suse linux enabled, but totally new to Debian/Kubuntu.
Installed Kubuntu 5.1: 2.6.12-9-amd64-generic, used Synaptic to download linux-source-2.6.12 (2.6.12-9.23) to /usr/src, symlinked linux -> linux-source-2.6.12, ran sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8174-pkg2.run, and got: ERROR: Unable to load the kernel module 'nvidia.ko'. This is most likely because the kernel module was built using the wrong kernel source files. Most likely user error, help? /dennis Machine specs: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3700+ EPoX 9NPA nForce 4 Ultra Motherboard XFX GF 6600GT 256 MB DDR3 Dual DVI TV PCI-E Kingston 512 MB PC3200 CL3 ECC 184 Pin DIMM x 2 ![]() |
