I have experienced a better HDTV image on my LCD-TV in 1280x720 (720p) (native 1366x768) in progessive mode via an DVI-HDMI-cable to my HD-850 DVD-Player or my notebooks 6800 Go via DVI connected. The picture is awesome.

If I understand your question correctly, yes, my TV and the 6200 really work at 1080i. At least, the TV reports that it's recieving 1080i, and the computer thinks it's in 1080i (with the 7676 driver...) I don't use the DVI so I don't know about any implications of using DVI.

As far as I know, all LCD HDTVs are natively 720p, and do downconversion of 1080i signals, so it's natural to expect your LCD TV looks better at 720p. I'm using a rear projection CRT TV, which is natively 1080i and would upconvert a 720p signal, so I wouldn't expect the same to hold true for me.

Is there anyway for us to look at this ticket, or find ways to implement any fix you may come up with? If the next build takes three months to get, I might be better off replacing this card with a different card.

I have not been able to get component output working correctly with any versions of the drivers with my recently built MythTV box.

I have gone to 7676 in the hope of success but it still locks up with video.

Could someone with a working xorg.conf file please post it (just to me if you like).

I vaguely recall a previous thread which stated you have to disable "sync to vblank" in order for XVideo to not lock up when using component output.

X Server XVideo Settings -> Video Texture Adaptor -> Sync to VBlank (uncheck)

8178 fixes the non-recognized TV resolutions bug. Thanks for the quick turnaround. Now, if we can only get the XV interlaced lockups fixed... Maybe a letter to Santa might help.
