Exclamation Nvidia framebuffer problem in 16 bit color mode

I am using a Geforce4 MX440 AGP8X card in my Linux kernel 2.6.14 machine.
I use latest driver : 1.0-8178, it run very well in X enviroment.
But I want to use it in framebuffer mode. I compiled kernel with Nvidia farmebuffer support (with DDC support for I2C) as module. At console I can load this module: modprobe nvidiafb. It can run in 8 and 32 bit color mode, but it have problem in 16 bit color mode: the color is not correct. Did anyone face this problem ?. I need it run in 16 bit color mode very much. Please check help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance

This framebuffer module is similar to rivafb and it is not maintained by nvidia! It has the same problems as rivafb (buggy, incomplete, unstable, doesn't work together with the nvidia drivers), so really don't use it.

Happy New Year everybody !
I also have problem with 16bit framebuffer mode if Intel865G (intelfb driver) in kernel 2.6. But I think the problem may be in the kernel 2.6 because with kernel 2.4.26 in run vey well. I don't know how to build nvidiafb modules for kernel 2.4 to test. Anyone have suggestion ?
