My 9500 Pro is starting to kick the bucket, so I have a 6800 GS AGP on the way. It should be here in a day or two, but I had a couple of questions. If any of these are answered elsewhere, please post a link.
I usually use fglrxconfig to set up xorg.conf, does the nvidia drivers have an equivalant, or am I forced to edit xorg.conf by hand? How would I go about unlocking the 4 extra pipelines not enabled by default? Can anyone with a similar card post some benchmarks for WoW and HL2? Can anyone post a sample of their cedega config? (so I know some good config settings, if FBO works, etc.) Thanks in advance, Eric |

The 9500Pro was one of my favorite cards because it was priced below $200 and performed very well. I have two GS cards and I believe you made a good choice. I have played HL2 at 4xAA/8xAF and performance was good, I do not remember what the framerates were. MikeC preveiwed the GS and framerates were in the 40s in Lost Coast at 1280x960, 2xAA/8xAF.
Don't play WoW, more into GW. BF2, CoR, and COD2 play well with this card. |
