Hello, i'm trying to use linux instead of Windows, i installed debian 4 months ago, and i'm very pleased with it, but i have a problem with my monitor Synchronism. In windows I use 1024x768 @ 75 Hz (SyncMaster 550v)
In linux, i can use my KDE with the "nv" driver with that resolution, but when i change the driver to "nvidia" i can't select any sync rate over 60 Hz i'v changed a million times my xorg.conf, i have executed dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, but i can't seem to make my screen work at 75 Hz.... Any clue ? I'm using the "8178" official Nvidia Driver Thank you very much Franco PS: I Apologize for my bad english.... |

You'll likely have to generate a modeline which drives your CRT at 75Hz. You can try using this one:
Modeline "1024x768_75.00" 81.80 1024 1080 1192 1360 768 769 772 802 If you need additional assistance, please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log. Thanks, Lonni |
