Option aspect-scaled causes fallback to 60Hz over DVI
I have a GeForce 6600 card and a Viewsonic VG712b TFT display.
Its native resolution is 1280x1024 (5:4) but I sometimes need lower resolutions that are of 4:3 aspect. I'm using 75Hz refresh over the DVI cable to gain 75 screen redraws every second. I need that speed.
When using the "Scaling = aspect-scaled" option to have the card trick the 5:4 aspected monitor to keep the correct 4:3 ratio, display refresh unfortunately falls back to 60Hz. Without this option, 75Hz refresh works ok.
I'm using xorg-x11-6.8.2, kernel 2.4.32, and the 1-8178 drivers. I'd appreciate any help on how to keep correct aspect while still refreshing at 75Hz.
