fx5200 twinview crt+tv guide

Hey! I have been browsing this forum to see if there's a guide to setup nvidia gforce fx5200 with Xorg, but it doesn't seem to be one ...

Can anyone give me a good example of xorg.conf for :
- setting up a lcd with 1280x1024 leftof a TV on 1024x768
- watching videos in fullscreen on TV (xinerama?)

(I have installed the nvidiadrivers, but I can't get an output on my TV)

Search the forums or use nvidia-xconfig which is bundled with the latest drivers to create a X config file. Note that you shouldn't use 1024x768 for your TV but 640x480 NTSC) or 800x600 (PAL) as the resolution of a TV is limited. (Second note that in case of twinview with a lcd screen and a tv, the tv becomes the primary screen)

Is the tv primary monitor when using dsub(vga) also?

In case of dsub the problem doesn't appear.

Yes, nvidia-xconfig supports both TwinView and Xinerama.

nvidia-xconfig ships with a man page which I'd suggest you take a look at if you have additional questions.

One more question; can I use mplayer and always get fullscreen on the TV?
