i keep getting scores between 1700 to over 2000. im on a 4800+ running at 2.64ghz so i should be getting scores over 2000, and yet i keep getting really low scores, ive only once got over 2000 but the majority are 1700-1800
whats going on here! even clocking to 2.7ghz i still get under 1800, and i ran the test 3 times to be sure. is there something running thats killing my cpu? or what is going on. the gfx tests are always within a few points of each other

Normally I would say its your ram but judging by the kind your running i'd rule that out. I had a similar problem with my old p4 and it was the cheap ram that was causing it, check your cooling as well, are you running prime95 stable for long periods?

On my first run with 82.65 drivers I scored in the 1500's for CPU and the second run with 81.98 I scored 1700. *shrug*
3dmark06 just doesn't seem very accurate for me either.

I found that 3DMark 06 tends to give wildly results, so I dismiss it as valid benchmark, at least until they launch a second revision or a patch.
