Default Given up on volt modden- 6800gs any suggestions

well ive been trying to get some extra performance on this thing for a while by over volting the gpu
so at stock i get major atrifacts, 510/1230 at 1.37V, and i cranked it to 1.4 artifacts gone at 510, as soon as you try 511, artifacting, I uped the vcore at 1.45, no difference, so im guessing my core wont go any higher without hitting something like 1.55v which from what i can see it way 2 much-

funny thing the auto detect sets the core at 540 and wow thats a pritty 3dmark 05 6150, as i watch the screen go crazy as the grass attacks the farry(i cant spell)

What do you guys think

it helps a bit for removing artifacts and these are bios mods no hard mods, but im not complaining for the core stock speed to be at 425 and getting it up to 510 is not that bad 20% OC - im just wondering looking at other crazy volt mods how far i have to go to get a boost to like 540 or so, aparently a lot

I remember threads like this back in the 6800GT volt mod days.... the follow up to this thread in sure time is going to be "My 6800GS no longer works, any ideas?"

VID label you read in BIOS is not equal to actual voltage output.
AFAIK, there's no voltage output monitoring for 6800GS PCIe at the moment.

I can achieve 530/1360 without artifacts with default voltage.

-hmm idk i noticed a conciderable difference in artifacts when i went to 1.4 from 1.37, i used nbitor and the flashed were fine
-by bios you meen video card not my motherboard bios
-also some things are weird with nvidia if you try to overclock in 2d mode in rivera tuner, or when i did, i couldnet get over 480 overl**** it would freeze, flahsing bios again fixed it, so maybe its not upping my voltage enought idk, but as far as overcloking i cant run at 550 core just get pritty artifacts
-are you using air coolign, i have the old bios save but that wont let me get over 507
-i wonder if its just the car or a bab driver somewhere, the first test in 3dmark05 runs with a few artifacts but the 2nd one goes crazy
