It seems like everytime I go to a website that has some sort of flash content on it. The Macromedia flash wants to be installed again. I don't understand why? I go with the motion and install it when prompted.
What's the best route to go about fixing this problem? ![]() Last edited by Digital_Trans; 02-12-06 at 05:49 PM. |

That's half of the problem.
Have you considered using either FireFox or Opera? No, I have seen that problem before, and it has to do with the plugin getting installed properly. If you have a browser that works properly, you can simply copy/paste it from one plugins folder to another. Also, if you do a direct download of Macromedia, instead of letting it go automatically, you can simply extract the file from the zip and paste it into the plugin folder.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

I can't give you the exact path, because I have a defective installation of XP, at the moment, and don't even have Windows Explorer to check this. However, going on memory, I believe that it would be something like this: Drive ?>Program Files>Internet Explorer>Plugins. I'm not at all certain of the location of the plugins folder in the IE directory, but it shouldn't be difficult to find, because it should be labeled "Plugins".
Obviously, you can stick with IE if you wish, but you are cheating yourself, because the options that I mentioned are much superior.
