(6800LE) Random Rebooting in Games/3DMark06
Specs: (VIDEO/MEMORY/CPU ARE NOT OVERCLOCKED)
AMD Athlon XP-M Barton 2500+ @ 1.85Ghz
Albatron KX600 KT600 VIA w/Hyperion 5.04A
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 410 ATX
1024MB DDR 400
Leadtek 6800LE 128MB w/Nvidia 81.98
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
D-Link DGE-530T 10/100/1000
SeaGate 200GB 8MB 7200.7
SeaGate 250GB 8MB 7200.7
Lite-On 166S DVD-ROM
Athenatech CR-8IN1B-U20 18-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader
I have done many fresh installs to try and figure out this problem.
I have tried APIC on and off.
Tried a Trendnet and D-Link Gbit Nic.
Tried both a Creative Audigy 2 and TB Santa Cruz sound card.
Tried 4 versions of Hyperion/4-in-1 drivers.
And I still have the same problems. Currently I have APIC turned on and that has made my computer more stable.. when not playing games. But with playing games APIC disabled has been the better choice, but it hasnít been the fix.
If I run 3DMark 2006 in 1280x1024 it will reboot my computer in about 30mins. If I change the resolution to 1024x768 my computer will reboot in 18hrs.
In Battlefield2 I can play for 45min before a reboot. In Far Cry it takes 15mins for a reboot. Quake3 takes about 15 mins to reboot my computer.
But COD2 and Quake4 wont reboot my computer.
Does anyone know what could be the issue here? Apparently there is some sort of issue with XXXXX, it just happened sooner with some tests than others.
BTW I have ran prime95 and other cpu/memory crunching applications for 24hrs straight and they have yet to fail. So I am ruling out my cpu/memory. What isnít ruled out is the mobo, psu, video card, drivers and driver/bios settings.
If anyone could give me some help that would be great!
