- card: GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
- screen: Silicon Graphics GDM-5011P - OS: Fedora Core 5 - xorg 7.0.0 - NVidia driver package from http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/5/i386/ I used many different versions of the NVidia driver over the past years and it usually worked fine. Last one I used was 8178. Today I upgraded to 8756. After the upgrade, my monitor suddenly started to use a lower refresh frequency. I am not sure what was the previous frequency, but I believe it was 85 Hz, high enough to be comfortable. After the upgrade, it's like the frequency is around 60 Hz (I don't know the actual frequency). It's very annoying. It flickers badly. I added Option "UseEdidFreqs" "False" to the Screen section in xorg.conf but it didn't help. I attached the bug report log. Please help. |

As a matter of interest- why did you upgrade form 8178?.
