I have only one complaint about Morrowind, that being I felt the need to purchace a Ti4400 to make it playable.

I hope I graduate this year, because I should still be playing this as June rolls around.

How impatient I have become. I remember traversing fields for hours building up experience in Dragon Warrior for the old school 8 bit NES.

What do you all recommend as a the best character to play with?

I haven't played much as a thief or mage. I always play as a fighter, I tried playing a fighter with major skills in enchant and alchemy but he was crap at both. My alchemy skill never went up, despite eating everything in site.

I would like to try a mage, but am afraid that if I run out of mana in the middle of a fight that I will get my ass kicked. Just how weak are mages in close combat? Any advice here?

I found that a good race/starsign to be is an imperial born under the sign of the tower. This gives you two spells, "voice of the emporer" (boast personality 50 pts) and "tower key" (open 50 pts) which are very useful early in the game.

I played as a dark elf, then switched to a wood elf. I custom set my abilities to match what I use the most. High Marksman, long and short sword, speed, athletics, destruction and healing magic, etc... I committed to this race early on, but if I had it to do again, I'd probably pick something else.

Since there is no huge warrior wizard, I'll just have to improvise.
