Default NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756 Resolution Problems

When I update to the 8756 driver, my x.org gets only 640x480, even not touching the xorg.conf

With nv drivers, and nVIDIA drivers older than that, works normal with 1152x864.

GeForce 6600GT 128MB MSI AGP 8x
--EDIT--

I didn't saw the other topic... sorry for this new one...

Please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate and provide an nvidia-bug-report.log for review.

Thanks,
Lonni

Thommy,
You're getting 800x600 because your xorg.conf doesn't have a Modes entry to request a mode. If you comment out the Virtual line and replace it with the following, you should get 1152x864:
Modes "1152x864"

If that fails to work, please post another bug report.

Thanks,
Lonni

Working now...

but really strange since without that any other drivers (even old nvidia ones) works perfectly... and that way (with this "Modes"), the changes I do in drakconf, related to video is not changed at all...

So I'm just getting 75hz, and I want my 83hz that I was getting before if possible... I just don't know where to change that now...

thanks for the help!
