I've done some searching but haven't found what I need yet...
Dell e1705 GeForce Go 7800 (DVD-D, SVGA, S-Video) I'm trying to get cloning set up on my laptop. Without TwinView enabled. if I connect an analog monitor and start X, the screen automatically switches to it (CRT-0). Hitting the CRT/LCD hotkey just makes the display flash; it doesn' switch back to the internal LCD (DFP-0). Does the hotkey work on the 7800? I don't need dual head, I just want to be able to connect external displays. Twinview might be the answer, and would be great since I could have 1600x1200 on the LCD and 1024x768 on the external monitor (right?). Is there a way to set up multiple TwinView "pairs"? Say, CRT-0 and DFP-0; TV-0 and DFP-0; DFP-1 and DFP-0. Can I have multiple MetaMode lines? If that works, I really don't need the CRT/LCD key - it should just be automatic (unless I connect two external monitors AND a TV...). Thanks. |
