Do the drivers support 7800GS cards?
I want a fast card and don't fancy swapping out my still quite nice AGP motherboard, so the 7800GS seems perfect.
I've just seen the new (8756) drivers and listed in the highlights is "Adds support for GeForce 7300, GeForce 7400 Go, GeForce 7600 and GeForce 7900 GPUs" Does this mean 7th generation GeForce cards other than the ones listed aren't supported?

The GeForce 7800 GS is supported, please see http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...ppendix-a.html for a list of supported GPUs.

There's no way I'm replacing my motherboard for PCI-E for at least a few years so a 7800GS cards should see me though with AGP for a good while yet.

I just ordered a the Gainward "bliss" 7800GS. I notice my distro (Ubuntu) has the 8756 drivers packaged already in Dapper (see http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/x11/) so should be a sinch to install.
