Installing GeForce MX 4000
Hi,
Do I need to download the NVidia driver from http://www.nvidia.com to use GeForce MX 4000 graphics card on my Linux machine?? My kernel version is 2.6.13  |

You don't need to download it, but it can give significant speed-ups in some applications. The latest version 1.0-8756 works with your card according the the list of supported graphics chips. Should you choose not to install it, you can always use the open source variant of the driver which is called "nv".

Do i need to run nvidia-xconfig??
If so does it come along with the driver or do I need to download it separately?? |
