Default Unable to create direct context rendering

I'm having issues with freeglut and FC5. The same application was fine
on FC4.

The application crashes when using GLSL shaders or glVertexAttribPointerARB calls. The only error message is from freeglut saying that it cannot create a direct
context rendering even though a glxinfo | grep direct returns yes.

I'm a bit puzzled by this since there are absolutely no issues on FC4,
SUSE10 or Ubuntu. Just FC5.

Latest nvidia driver and kernel from rpm.livna.org. I attach the nvidia-bug-report .txt.

Does anyone encounter this? The SElinux is setup as in one of the threads in this forum.

TwinView configuration is on as well.

TIA

Please post the output from glxinfo. Which application is causing this problem?

Thanks,

Is it possible that the current livna install is messed up? I noticed on a machine where I had the livna rpms installed that the /usr/lib64/libGL... stuff is never linked to the nvidia supplied libraries in /usr/lib64/nvidia/libGL...

Maybe I just am not following what they are doing.

And right you are. Many thanks. The libGL was not pointing to the ones in /usr/lib/nvidia.

The livna folks say this is their intended behaviour and that they modify the ld.so.cache so the nvidia libGL is found first. My problem is then libtool using rpaths and therefore ld cache doesnt really apply.

Many thanks for all your help.
