Angry X Server fails to Load After Install

I have Ubuntu 5.10 (2.6.12-10-amd64-generic) and I'm installing the x86_64 8756 nvidia drivers. It says that my graphics card (nVidia GeForce 7900GT GPU is supported but after the install of the drivers, the X-server won't start. Attached is the error log for the x server and a text version of my xorg.conf. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Re: X Server fails to Load After Install

According to your X log, you're using the vesa X driver, and not the nvidia X driver. Either run 'nvidia-xconfig' as root, or see the NVIDIA driver README for instructions on how to configure X to use the nvidia X driver.

If you have further questions, please post an nvidia-bug-report.log.

Thanks,
Lonni
