best non-gamer DVI card at 1600x1200 ?
Three Dell 2007FP 1600x1200 16ms LCD panels are arriving next week.
What is/are the best DVI-out card(s) to drive these under i686 Linux?
I don't much care if the solution is one three-output card or three
one-output cards, or anything in between.
I currently have only AGP/PCI slots; but, I may upgrade to 64-bit later
this summer and I gather I may end up with PCIe in the new system.
I don't play games or watch DVDs - I don't need shading or 3D or TV.
I want sharp display text and one wrap-around desktop (Xinerama).
I use: Linux 2.6.12-12mdk-i686-up-4GB i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+;
1.5GB memory, way too much disk; xorg-x11-6.9.0-12mdk
Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
