Default Re: I want to try MMORPG, but which one?

Well I don't have the money for it right now, and from the reviews I've read of it, it doesn't sound like a real MMORPG. I'll stick to playing Guild Wars since I have a lot of fun with my guild. DDO sounds too much like a team forcing Neverwinter Nights (and NWN was free online). If I'm gonna pay for a MMORPG (never payed monthly for one), it better be something with a huge world and where I can go adventuring and not just dungeon after dungeon.

Anyway, I'll be waiting the reviews for Vanguards and see if I buy it.

Something that comes with free trail would be good. I do play RPG games, mostly off-line, Guild Wars is the only RPG that i played online.

I did D&D Online beta testing, and must say its was pretty good, was actually considering to buy it, unless they is something better available.
id way WoW,havent played D&D online but ive played UO,EQ,EQ2,AC,AO,DAOC,WoW,FFonline and prolly some others that im missing, most fun ive had was with EQ and WoW tbh,and EQ is damn old and a bit to "hardcore" compared to todays standards so WoW is your best bet.

Lineage II is a VERY VERY VERY bad game. There's like no real story to it, the graphics are just plain awful, and the animation and controls are utter rubbish.

And yes, Vanguard will be a monthly based MMO's.

The only online RPG's that don't cost money but still offer an online experience are (from general knowledge):

Guild Wars
Guild Wars Factions
Neverwinter Nights
Diablo II

Lineage 2 has a very deep story. Heck every update expands on the story and they are the only game that offers free expansion packs. The graphics aswell are great, I don't know where you get that they are awful.

It's a good game just too much time sink and not enough quests.

os008, Yes It will require a monthly subscription just like all other REAL MMORPGs.
