Default Twinview and xvideo problem

Hi. I use Fedora Core 5 and latest drivers. The problem is that twinview does not work well with twinview. After I switch to a metamode utilising both TV and CRT, I can't use xvideo anymore (the video window is blue in mplayer and kaffeine). Switching back to a single-monitor one does not help. What can be wrong hrer? I can always switch to gl2/opengl video driver but these are not that good.

I'm a little confused about what you're describing here. You stated that "Twinview does not work well with TwinView. After I switch to a metamode utilising both TV and CRT, I can't use xvideo anymore (the video window is blue in mplayer and kaffeine). Switching back to a single-monitor one does not help."

Is this problem only present with TwinView, or always present?
Does this reproduce without the Composite extension?

Thanks,
Lonni

Sorry about that, I meant that xvideo does not work well with twinview. Commenting out
Quote:
Option Composite "Enable"
does not influence the bug. Without twinview the problem does not exist, as the event triggering it is swithcing to metamode with two display devices active (xrandr -s 2 or xrandr -s 4).

Bump. It was certainly working in previous driver release. The biggest issue is that without xvideo it is impossible to set to which device to sync, which results in tearing of the video displayed on the tv.
