Hi,
I've just upgraded to the 8756 (x64_64) drivers from the 7676 (x86_64) ones and the TV-out no longer works properly. The driver upgrade is the only change in the setup. At first it just gave a blank screen, it hadn't crashed; X had loaded but there was just no (visible) output. Removing the line in my xorg.conf file that said: Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE" made it sort of work, ie there's some output but it's very fuzzy and there's noticable colour bleeding. If I change the TVStandard to NTCS-M then the image is clear, but black and white. I solved the colour bleeding problem by forcing TVOutFormat to COMPOSITE when using the 7676 drivers but now it appears to not work at all. Also, it will no longer let me use 800x600 for some reason. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! -- Geoff. |

Obviously you need to force it again to Composite. Have you checked if the option for forcing have changed between 7676 and 8756?

The setting for forcing composite output hasn't changed.
I followed the instructions in the post about installing legacy drivers (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68969) to revert back to the old drivers, and it works fine again. Obviously not an ideal situation but at least it works now. -- Geoff. |
