Have any of you guys w/ 6150 boards gotten desktop OpenGL apps to work w/ Xorg 7 and the latest 8756 drivers? I'm running a resolution of 1280x1024x24 according to xpyinfo:
screen #0: dimensions: 1280x1024 pixels (392x292 millimeters) resolution: 83x89 dots per inch depths (7): 24, 1, 4, 8, 15, 16, 32 root window id: 0x64 depth of root window: 24 planes but when I try running foobillard, I get this error: Video mode set failed: Couldn't find matching GLX visual and when I try running amoeba, it only shows me a color depth available of 1 and running it causes X to restart Both of these apps were installed via apt-get and 64-bit versions were run. glxgears complains as well: Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual Tremulous (a Q3A engine game) runs fine, but it runs fullscreen and is a 32-bit app. In the BIOS, I gave the 6150 64MB of shared memory for video memory. |

update: reinstalled the nvidia drivers and now all is well. I thought we only had to reinstall the drivers when installing new kernels...I've only done dist-upgrades...

Thanks, Aaron. That explains it. There have been a lot of Xorg 7.0 changes lately and I've been dist-upgrading to try to keep up :-)
