What kind of TV do you have? when it has a VGA or DVI input it may be better to use that.
I have a TV connected via VGA and 1080i is no problem, although I have issues with hardware-accellerated mpeg decoding (no freezes).

It looks like it has HDMI. You could connect a DVI output of your card to the HDMI input using a special cable, when you are not using the HDMI input for something else.
However, while that could result in a better picture, it is probably not related to your freezing problem. What media player are you using? mplayer?

Strange... well, I have no experience with VLC, so I let someone else answer that.

How did you connect your TV? You really need to connect it using either VGA / DVI or HDMI in order to get 1080i working. You need a proper 1080i modeline to get it working. You might able to find modelines somewhere at this forum or else somewhere on the internet. (X doesn't contain these modelines yet)

Well, he already mentioned that: using the 7-pin port. There is a connector resembling an S-video connector on these cards, that can carry S-video or component video (using a special cable) to a TV set.
This should work as a TV out device with predefined modes for SD and HD TV, see the driver README.

(I have no component cable and could not get it to work on S-video SD TV, but I did not try really hard. My TV has VGA and DVI input...)

Thank, guys. so far I already have 1080i video from 7 pin port; but the modeline is not correct. The screen is small. VLC still freeze my computer.

The New Nvidia Driver can drive 1080i on the 7 pin port. Try it out guy.
