Default Any inherent issues with twinview on SMP kernels?

I am giving a friend a hand over at the Linspire forums
http://forum.linspire.com/viewtopic.php?p=526789#526789

He is running into a problem getting smp + twinview working. My question is this : is there a specific issue, or is this a Linspire thing only?

Thanks much!
Andrew

The only thing that I saw in the URL you posted is a reference to TwinView not working with an SMP kernel. If that's the problem you're referring to, then please generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log when the problem is present, as this is not a known bug.

Thanks,
Lonni

No, dude, that is exactly what I wanted to know -- this problem seems like it would have been a priority to resolve. The best twinview I can do is clone to my tv or span to my tv, not quite the same as another monitor spanned (which is what he wanted).

Ill see if there is any further info that may point me to a solution. Pending failure there I will do the bugreport as you alluded to.

Thanks much!
